Most senior housing cooperatives have waiting lists. Currently, approximately 100 individuals/couples are on our waiting list. The average waiting period is three (3) years although with the housing market waning, many folks have been able to move-in significantly sooner.
The cost to be on our waiting list is a mere $200 deposit. When the waiting list member decides to purhase a unit in the Cooperative, the $200 is applied toward the share price. If the waiting list member decides to be removed from the waiting list, the Cooperative returns the deposit with interest.
